At Koç University, Noomad collaborated with the KUPID Lab on an open-source learning platform to explore daily flow experiences and the meaning of life through journified research. Over three weeks, the project combined idiographic methods, digital journeys, and reflective analysis, creating a participant-driven research process. By Spring 2025, the program was completed, opening a new stage in immersive inquiry.

CHALLENGE

Understanding human experience in real life requires going beyond traditional surveys and static data. Daily flow, meaning-making, and personal narratives often remain hidden, fragmented, or difficult to capture systematically. There was a need for a method that could trace these lived patterns in depth while keeping participants actively engaged.

SOLUTION

The collaboration introduced Noomad’s digital journey framework into KUPID’s idiographic research methods. Together, they designed guided experience journeys that captured everyday life in context, connected personal reflections to systemic insights, and explored existential themes like flow and meaning. This integration produced a richer, more immersive approach to studying human experience — balancing data, narrative, and reflection.
